A Pounder Operator should be knowledgeable of the guide rail industry and have at least six (6) months of experience operating and driving a Guide Rail Pounder Truck and/or related equipment such as a post driver or auger truck. A Pounder Operator must have a Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), and will be required to operate various straight trucks and equipment including a flatbed, lowboy, sign truck and tool truck. Pounder Operators are required to perform physically demanding laborer duties which may include loading and unloading materials or equipment; aligning, securing and layout of guide rail panels; installing fence; spreading seed and mulch; and traffic control duties. The Pounder Operator position requires tolerance to work during inclement weather and the ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repetitively throughout the work day. Work locations vary and may require staying away from home for several consecutive nights. Driver applicants must be 21 years of age with a suitable driving record.
